Individual Development Plans (IDP)s are an integral part of the Youth CareerConnect student experience. The IDP provides vital information and is used in education and career planning students. What is an IDP? Do I already have an IDP? Are we asking the right questions on our IDP?

This YCC TA Training reviews the purpose and components of an IDP and provides helpful tips for grantees to use when setting goals to assist students in successfully meeting education and employment milestones.  The YCC National Office Team and the Office of Disability Employment Policy’s National Collaborative on Workforce & Disability for Youth joined forces to discuss the requirements, challenges and effective practices for Ensuring a Successful Transition:  Individual Development Plans for Youth CareerConnect Students, Part One.

*The second part of this training took place at the 2015 YCC National Grantee Conference.
